Introduction to canyoning for the pupils of Basse Pointe middle school.

A beautiful sunny day, and full of emotions for our young adventurers, accompanied by their teachers, on the TropiCanyon introduction sites Saut Gendarme in Fond St Denis.

Two teams are formed to cross the last four obstacles of the canyon.

It starts with an equipment session with neoprene suit, helmet, and harness.

Then a forest path enables to discover the tropical atmosphere of the day.

An introduction session and practice of canyoning crossing techniques prepares the team to cross the obstacles. –

First abseiling for our champions, with a 5m waterfall. –

Puis, après avoir progressé en sécurité sur la main courante, c’est l’arrivée à la grande cascade de 15m. Sensations fortes garanties, pour une équipe motivée.

Then, after moving safely on the handrail, the team arrives at the big 15mwaterfall. Guaranteed thrills for a motivated team. –

This is followed by a small 2m jump, in a beautiful pond, some ask for more. -To reach the foot of the final waterfall of Saut Gendarme, we cross it by zip-lining, we’re flying over the waterfall.

And to conclude this day of excitement, let’s go to the hut to regain strength before returning to Basse Pointe. –
